Christmas Eve Activities - what to do on December 24th
Merry Christmas Eve - the big day is almost here!
Here are some festive activities to get involved in with friends and family before the 25th:
- Have an Ugly Christmas Jumper competition.
Get some wear out of your fun Christmas jumper and still rock a stylish Christmas look for Christmas day. Even take pictures and post them to have your friends vote online on who’s was the best jumper. Or vote among yourselves but you can’t vote for yourself!
- Make Gingerbread houses
Find yourself a unique gingerbread house kit and bond whilst baking together!
- Drive around looking at Christmas lights.
This is a great way to get out of the house and check out some fun neighborhoods! You can even google the best neighborhoods in your city to drive through.
- Have a Christmas cookie baking competition.
Have everyone in your household, or if you are having friends/family over, pick out their favorite Christmas cookie recipe. Then when they are done have everyone vote for that was their favorite cookie after lots of taste testing.
- Make a hot cocoa bar.
Creating a hot cocoa bar full of your favorite toppings and flavor add ons fills your home with holiday spirit! Just search for hot cocoa bar and you will find hundreds of ideas and links to blog posts telling you how to create one.
- Have everyone make a holiday cocktail.
Make a fun holiday themed cocktail and do a taste testing. Don’t be afraid to try something different!
- Give out Christmas eve boxes.
Make a Christmas eve box filled with treats for the people in your household and open them before bed. Again, Pinterest is filled with lots of ideas and inspiration.
